Debt Onto You

Many Americans live in debt because our country promotes it as a solution. This is not what our constitution originally intended. Debt Onto You is a new slogan I want you to share with your student age children. How many of you are going to use debt or loans as a way to a better financial future. StudentLoanJustice.org will give you an idea of what happens to those that take  the gamble with their future to start debt while in school. "End the Fed" by Ron Paul talks about Keynesian Economics as an end to our wealth, world leadership and the debt crises we are starting to see. Today more and more people are tired of the endless news about a corrupt billion dollar ponzi scheme, another politician resigns because of kickbacks, more government waste of tax payer dollars, rampant crime, and the list goes on. Where does the Church fit in? The Catholic Church, for example, is a sovereign state. Their economy is apart from our government. Did you know Washington DC is a sovereign state too and as a US citizen we are sovereign. But how do we get to sovereign? We the people need to take control by claiming our rights granted to us by the constitution. In order to do that we need to understand it. How many of you give your trust to any authority without question or reason? I say Debt Onto You if you live life by an addiction to instant gratifications. Name it, we have become a numb society. If we want to stay world leaders claim your right to be sovereign.

A local business owner here in New Orleans that I have been watching develop his plan said, "We need to change or we are lost!" He was using food as an example, he is founder of Naked Pizza. Follow the green plan to build a new future here in our USA. There are many more examples of companies that are loyal to our fellow citizens caring about their health, but also making a statement that profits can be made from a green plan. Bravo!

Stop Crime

Hi World, I do my job everyday protecting you from running into others. Someone recently violated my rights to a clean appearance. Look at all these holes. The angle of entry seems to say someone stood in the street and fired off a few rounds at my defenseless position serving the public rain or shine day or night 24/7. Please help me. I am probably going to be pulled from duty so another can take my place to serve you. Remember me, I can possibly come back again in another form to serve again. For further analysis and more photos visit my site at  http://www.nolalife.com/ or post a reply to start a discussion to stop crime.

Recall Efforts 2010 Mary Landrieu

Here are some links of what has developed or has already been tried:

(looks like 600 signatures or so were collected then it stopped)

a letter someone wrote in response to can it be done.

The ruling to recall Cao says you can not recall a congressman or senator.

This poll says a lot of people want her recalled:
LANEWSLINK.com, a newswire with a conservative slant, polled its readers in December whether Landrieu should be recalled."With over 16,000 votes already cast (an LANEWSLINK.com on-line poll record for 4 days) 88.5 percent Say YES. Obviously, 'There's Something About Mary,'" said founder Pat Bertrand.

More to come, looks like yesterdays rally in Alexandria to kick off the Recall Efforts 2010 of Mary Landrieu has not hits the news sites yet.

The HIstory of Louisiana Recalls

With the advent of my cousin Ruben LeBlanc starting moveonmary.org a recall of a federal Senator, something which has never been done before, I think it appropriate to look at the history of recalls in Louisiana. My own experience goes back the days of EWE and Ted Schirmer, a quick look:

---

06-18-1992

STATE REPORT - LOUISIANA: EDWARDS RECALL PROCEEDING

Foes of pro-life Gov. Edwin Edwards (D) began a petition
drive 6/15 to oust him from office. The recall effort, headed by
     atty Ted Schirmer, has until 12/14 to collect 745,00 signatures;
one-third of LA's registered voters. If the goal is reached, "a
statewide election would be called in which voters would decide"
whether Edwards should stay in office -- the election would be
held within 60 days of petition certification (Wardlaw, N.O.
     TIMES-PICAYUNE, 6/17). Pro-choice LG Melinda Schwegmann (D), who
does not support the effort, would become governor if Edwards is
recalled. Edwards "is not worried" as he survived a recall drive
during his previous term in '84 (Monroe NEWS-STAR, 6/16).

I opened the New Orleans office for the recall effort, then had the group from BR come down to run it. There is a lot to do to get enough signatures in the legal way to get a state elected official recalled. Money is donated and has to accounted for. A previous court ruling about recall methods is here:

Basically a recall petition to collect signatures must not be located within 600 feet of a poling location. Ruben and his team of recall patriots do need one third of votes, but not without a battle of the legal question of whether the signatures count. This following article tells a story about what it looks like from a reporter who interviewed Jay Darden, LA Secretary of State.

Please share your opinions as I look at the history of recall Louisiana Style.
